| Garant's has been a family owned business in the Alpena area since 1984. Ron started his printing career while in the Navy and later worked at 2 local print shops. In 1984 Ron and Darlene Garant decided to buy Quality Press, a small print shop located in Hillman, MI They moved Garant's Quality Press to downtown Hillman and added office supplies at that time. They later opened an office supply store in Alpena, which Ron hired his brother, Bill, to manage. In 1988, they moved the print shop and the office supplies stores into one building in downtown Alpena. In 1992, Ron and Darlene moved their business to 117 W. Washington, since they outgrew their previous location. In 2000, they purchased 121 W. Washington to create their large office furniture showroom. Over the years, they have added many services, including the commercial sign shop. Ron and Darlene are a great example of a local family working together and taking a risk to live their dreams. |

| Bill is Ron's brother and has been working at Garant's for over 24 years. If you call or come into Garant's, Bill is probably the friendly voice you hear and the smiling face you see! |
| Darlene is Ron's wife, co-owner and co-founder of Garant's. She does graphic design and oversees the accounts receivable and payable department |
| Ron Garant, born and raised in Alpena, is co-owner and co-founder of Garant's. Ron has been a commercial printer for 45 years, using the skills he learned in the Navy. He is very knowledgeable in his field. He started our sign shop in 1997 and now spends his time in both areas of the business. |
| Keith is Ron and Darlene's son and grew up learning the family business. You may have seen him as the friendly, smiling delivery driver of Garant's. Keith is now training as a printer in our Commercial Print Shop. |
| Beth is Ron's sister and has worked at Garant's for 2 years. She works in several areas of Garant's including the office supplies store and accounts payable and receivable department. |
